What’s the difference between Google Search Console, Google My Business, and Google Analytics? Does my business need all 3?
In short: yes, each of these pieces of Google are necessary and benefit your small business in different ways!
Google Search Console (previously Google Webmaster Tools):
This is where you can verify your website with Google, submit your important website pages to be indexed, get notifications directly from Google about any issues with your website, and see some keyword and performance data from Google’s search engine.
Google My Business:
This is somewhat like a social media profile for your business. GMB is your public-facing profile with Google that allows you to submit information about your business and receive reviews from your customers (earning you a star rating that can really help boost your credibility!).
This is where you can track the data on how people are finding your website, which pages they’re visiting, which devices are being used to access your website, and so much more!
All of these Google products are FREE, and I highly recommend getting your business set up correctly with them if it isn’t already. The sooner you get set up with Google, the sooner you will start building credibility and getting more search engine visibility!
